About
Suprabhat is a marketer based in India, and the person behind FixMyFiles. He started it in 2026 after one ordinary annoyance: every converter on the first page of search results wanted the file uploaded first, for a job the browser could already do by itself.
He is not a video engineer, and the site does not pretend otherwise. What he does is pick the jobs worth solving, test the tools on real files until the results are right, and write the pages in plain words — what a format keeps, what it loses, and what you will get back. Where a competitor is the better choice, the comparisons say so.

How these pages are made
The rules the site is held to. They are also why some pages do not exist.
- Tested on real files. A tool gets a page only once it works. Sizes, quality figures and anything presented as a test result come from running files through the tool, not from a specification sheet.
- Written from one set of notes. Every format has a single set of facts behind it — what it compresses, what it keeps, where it opens. Correct it once and every page that uses it is corrected.
- Platform rules get a date. Upload limits for Gmail, WhatsApp and the rest change. Each one is listed with the date it was last checked, so you can judge how stale it is.
- Pages are removed, not padded. Pairings nobody needs do not get a page, and nothing is padded to look thorough. A page that has nothing specific to say should not exist.
